- Mr. Johnston has three bags of candy. One bag contains only red candy, one contains only blue candy, and one contains a mixture of red and blue candy.
Unfortunately, since Mr. Johnston is old and senile, he has mislabeled the bags and cannot remember which bag holds which type of candy. Mr. Johnston offers you a share of the candy if you can help him fix the labels. However, since he is terribly mean and very protective of his candy stash, Mr. Johnston says you may only take only one piece of candy (without looking) from only one of the bags before correcting the labels. What should you do?
